Remember all those books and stories you read in high school and college?  Remember divining a meaning from the slightest turn of a phrase or punctuation mark?  Well, forget all that as you read the content on Through the Mill.

Through the Mill is a creative site dedicated to the dissemination of ideas and content in the freest possible forum.  What I have and will post are musings about life, both serious and humorous, to be taken with whatever degree analysis you wish to apply.

What is New

Look to the left.  Under the heading Latest Posts you will find a list where the top article is the most recent post.  If you are looking for a particular category or are just looking for a taste of what each post is about you can look under Categories to see how I have classified the posts, usually by where they originally appeared.

If you have ever had the opportunity to see what goes on inside a steel mill, the Dantesque chemistry created out of disparate piles of scrap and raw material, the incredible heat and pressure used to manipulate the output to create everything from laptop computers to skyscrapers, then you know what I mean.  We are all put through the mill everyday, but that does not mean we have to give up on something better.  The winners in life are not the people who come in first, but the ones that give up last.
